Does the year my home was built effect its eligibility?

For a home to be eligible for a Hurricane Mitigation Grant, the home’s initial building construction permit must have been issued prior to January 1, 2008. A home’s building construction permit is available through the county's Property Appraiser or Tax Collector Office.
