Can townhomes receive recommendations for roofing Improvements?

Yes. Based on recent legislation changes, townhomes are eligible to receive roof improvement Grants in a similar manner as single-family homes.

There are 3 different roofing-related Improvements that are eligible for Grant funding under the My Safe FL Home Program when recommended in an Initial Inspection Report:

Improvement 2.0 – Roof to Wall Attachment
Improvement 3.0 – Roof Deck Attachment
Improvement 4.0 – Secondary Water Resistance (SWR)

Applicants should follow the recommendations as provided in their MSFH Initial Inspection Report. If there are specific questions, they should reach out directly to the WCE who completed the inspection.

PLEASE NOTE: Initial Inspection Reports completed before the legislative update will not be amended. Townhomes that have previously received a Grant disbursement are not eligible for additional funding.
